Good morning everyone,I hope all this sunny weather is keeping you all happy,I must admit to not coping with the heat but I must not complain,I am happy in front of the fan doing what I love..... CRAFTING
First of all I have some great and exciting news to share with you all. I have joined the Crafters Companion Die-sire design team. You can imagine how excited I was when I got the email, and nervous at the same time lol. So you can expect to see lots of creations using the crafters companion products on here from now on. I really need to get my craftroom organised though but have hit the ground running at the moment with my first assignment so it will have to wait until I have got my samples ready for that but it is now a urgent task.

So back to the task in hand for now and my latest make, my DT card for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ The theme this month is Anything goes/Lazy days and our sponsor this month is  who are giving the winner 7 digi's
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
I hope you will all join in and have some fun with these beautiful images, every one makes a beautiful card, they are fail safe I think.
I had so many images that I fell in love with but in the end had to make a decision so I went with this adorable image of the mice and bunny relaxing.
As always I took my colour inspiration from the image and looking at it I decided that it would look good on a circle easel card so it looked like it was on a plate. I used a grand circles die to cut out the card and another circle for the face of it in this lovely purple glitter card and layered it up with some pale green card to give me a base then I added the base picture in a smaller circle which I printed from the House Mouse triple CD. I decoupaged the image using 7 images as I do love to bring these little critters to life as much as possible. Then I used my Xcut alpahabet dies to cut out the z's and the relax from both purple and green card and layered them up to give a shadow effect. I am sorry but I can't remember the name of this die I used to cut the lattuce out but it is a Sue Wilson one. I cut it out of the green bottom circle and put it on top of the purple and added some liquid pearls to give it dimension. Then I used a purple stamped happy birthday and edged it with the purple glitter card. Then I found this beautiful green ribbon from the many boxes I have collected over the years and also this lovely striped button for the centre and used the bow as my stopper. I was very pleased with the finished card and it has become my latest favourite LOL, I hope you all like it to and it inspires you to get crafting.
Enjoy the sunshine and I will be seeing you more often in the future, take care and happy crafting x

Good morning my crafty friends,it's house mouse time again. I am a bit late with this months post as I swapped with another design team member due to my daughter being unwell and having to look after my grand children so she could rest,I didn't have time to get a card done. So this is for the halfway reminder for this months challenge for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ this month it's anything goes/die cuts and the sponsors are http://www.disdigistamps.com/ with a prize of $10 digi stamp.

As I have been so busy and not well again myself I didn't have time to do a 3D decoupage one this time, but then house mouse are such lovely images they are very much stand alone images anyway. As you can see I decided to make a easel card this month and started as usual by choosing colours from the picture,so I chose greens and cream. I used a image from the triple cd and used a tonic happy birthday die for the front cover and used a trellis die "sorry I don't remember which one" to create the stopper for the base. The dragonflies were a free gift on a magazine which came with the die and stamp to create these lovely dragonflies (the photo don't do them justice). I also embossed the base with the embosabilities  leaf folder.
I hope you like what I have done and it would be great to see your creations over at Gruffies and Guests

Good morning my crafty friends. I am sorry I am a bit late going live with this post but I had a really bad night and got up a little late. I am having a bad spell with my arthritis at the moment so I am glad I had this card made ready for today. This weather is not helping,I hope the weather warms up soon. I hope you have all been well and those of you who have not I hope you get better soon.
Anyway on to the task in hand,my latest DT card for Gruffies and Guests challenge blog , this months theme is Patchwork or anything goes,so as always it would be lovely to see your makes,so please pop over and enter. There is a prize supplied by http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ to.
I found this lovely image of the little mice making their own patchwork quilt and thought it was perfect. As always I started with taking the colours from the image, the image did have stacks of material in the background but I wanted just the foreground as I felt it made it less busy. That is the beauty of 3D decoupage, you can include what you choose to. I started with decoupaging the image up to give it chance to dry before adding it to the card,I always use silicone to layer my decoupage as I find it gives you much more control over the depth and shaping of each layer.
Then I chose to use this oval die from Tonic for the aperture as it best fitted the image. I chose this lovely soft pink card and started by cutting the aperture with one of the scalloped ovals and then I used the crafters companion patchwork embosabilities folder to give it extra interest and texture. Then I used a miricard in this lovely irridesant  blue and cut to size so that it gave a border around the edge. I then laid the pink layer over the top so that I could possition the slightly smaller straight edged oval die through the the first aperture to give a blue border, which I think frames the image nicely. I forgot to mention that I have used a 8x8" card as always,I just love the area it gives to create. I then chose a pearlesant off white card for the background which I cut just a bit larger than the aperture and stuck to the back of the blue layer, then layered it all together with double sided tape ( I prefer to use tape as I have found in the past that glue is ok but in time it seems to dry out and my cards have fallen apart. I know a lot of people I give cards to like to keep them and there is nothing worse than knowing they will fall apart) Then I added the now dried image and thought it would be nice to have this little mouse that was in the background I left out on the edge of the frame looking as though he was running around it. Then as usual I couldn't resist putting a bow on it but didn't have the right colour. So I used my alcohol markers to colour a white ribbon and placed a heart button in the centre. Then added a few buttons and some pink twine and a sentiment.
I hope this has inspired you,any question for anything I have forgotten to mention, please don't hesitate to message me and I will gladly get back to you.
Have a good Easter weekend everyone and happy crafting.

Good morning my crafty friends. Here is the DT card I told you I was off to make yesterday for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ the theme is flowers and ribbon, With a prize of 7 digi's for one lucky winner from http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
I started this card as always with choosing a image from the House mouse triple CD and then took inspiration as always from the colours used in the image. I chose a backing paper of the same colour of the flower in the vase and embossed it with the embossalicous knit one folder to give it texture. Then I cut the image out using a tonic circle die and a border from the next size up and for the back layer I cut a solid circle from the tonic butterfly doily die using the closest colour to the orange I could and then a white layer from the same die and layered them together so the solid one would show through the holes. Then I used the Sue Wilson die from her Scandinavian collection Copenhagen and cut it in half to put behind the top and bottom of the frames to give a bit of a lacey look to it. Behind the image frame I used the tonic butterfly border punch to create a lacey border. I cut a backing piece to give a border around the outside from the same colour card I used for the center frame and flowers and layered it all on to the card. Then I made the flowers from the Sue Wilson finishing touches-delicate daisies open dies which are my newest favourite and placed some pearls in the center to match the card. Then I added a bow,as always, in the same colour theme and place a ready bought rose in the center. I hope you like my creation and it will inspire you to have a go. Happy crafting everyone

Hello everyone, I am in a bit of a hurry this morning as I have to get my DT card done for Gruffies and Guests by the end of today. I thought I would share the card I made yesterday for a friend who wanted a wedding card made. I haven't shown it to her yet so I am hoping she will like it,or I will have to start again. I made this one using a Craft creations die cut decoupage sheet DCD591 - wedding day sheet and one of the Tonic heart dies. I also used some crafters companion centural pearl ivory card, which I used for the layer between the base white card and the top white card and also for the central embossed heart, which was embossed using the crafters companion embossabilities swirls folder. I then die cut the heart into a white piece of card stock so it stayed in the card and used a quickie glue pen and pure white glitter behind the cutouts to shine through. then I cut, embossed and layered a smaller heart in the ivory in the centre to add texture and colour. Then I cut the large heart in the top layer and used foam backed sticky tape to make the front layer stand proud and added the decoupaged image of the bride and groom and a flower bouquet I made up and tied some ribbon around the stems and added another ribbon with bow to get the four tails and added some heart pins and a heart button. I type the sentiment I wanted on my computer and made it the size I wanted and printed it out and cut them out to look like ribbons and layered them onto more of the ivory card stock and trimmed it to give a boarder and added it to the card. I think I have mentioned everything but please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions

Good morning my crafty friends and what a lovely morning it is here in Norfolk, the sun is shinning and all the birds are singing,it doesn't get more perfect than that.
It's that time of the month when I post my DT card for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ and for this months challenge it is Love is all around/anything goes and I thought I would do something different this month so I used my new Xcut gift bag die to create this gift bag. I cut it out from some co-ordinations card stock and embossed it with my creative expressions cascading hearts folder and then sanded it to highlight the hearts. It really bought the bag to life and looked good as it was without and embellishments. But of course I wasn't going to leave it there,I had a house mouse image with it's name on it. Then I made up some flowers using a script backing paper and inked them up with a tea stain distress ink and a momento pink ink. The dies I used for the large rose flower were the  S$-312 Blossom three nestabilities spellbinders set which I cut into to create the petals, then shaped and layered them up. In the background is my newest purchase a memory box die Shrewsbury stem which I love, Inked it up with the same distress inks and added a little glitter to the buds. I also added a few stems and some leaves and then chose this wonderful ribbon which I bought at the Range in several colours and love the metalic shimmer it has going through it and made this bow and added a button and some stick pins. The image is from the house mouse tripple CD and I have decoupaged it so as I love to bring these little mice to life. I hope you all like it,I am very please with how it turned out and I think this project has broken my lack of mojo and put the spring back in my step

Angie's card designs

http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/
Hello my friends,I hope you have all had a good Christmas and new year. I have unusually had to take to my bed all over Christmas and new year with a very nasty cold which felt more like flu and still hasn't given up the ghost yet. I can honestly say I have never felt so ill. I have had no appetite so did not have a Christmas dinner but will push the boat out as soon as my taste buds return. I hope you all fared better over the festivities.
Anyway, after losing all track of my days and spending the whole day believing it to be Friday today,I logged into facebook and saw a post which said it was the start of the new challenge over at Gruffies and Guests and it was then I realised I had missed posting my design team card first thing this morning, and not as I thought first thing tomorrow ha ha. Well not funny really as I always seem to be late for one reason or another these days. I for one will be so glad 2014 is over and we have started a new year,as my health was terrible last year and I hope it will improve this year, well lets face it,it can't really get any worse (can it) .
So my new years resolution is to sort out my craft room and to try and be more organised, the first I am sure I can manage, the second....... well watch this space.
So without further ado here is my first card of the year. I was so inspired by this beautiful image that the designing of this card came unusually easy to me. Using the colours from the image I cut a pink piece of card 5mm smaller than the 8x8" card blank and one oiece of yellow card 5mm smaller than the pink to give a nice pink boarder around the edge of the card. I then used this heart shaped die from Tonic, the name of which escapes me but it shouldn't be hard to find, and placed it closer to the top of the card than the bottom as I wanted to leave more room at the bottom for the bow to go. I used the largest inner die that just cuts out the boarder and the smaller outside edge die so that it would cut the appeture out while giving it a pretty boarder. Then I had to line up the yellow card over the pink to give a even boarder around the edge and placed the smaller outside edge die to line up with the one cut from the yellow card so that when layered up the pink card would show through the boarder of the heart. Then I put the yellow layer through a heartfelt creations embossing folder (one with hearts on it). Then with my new Sue Wilson Delicate Daisys dies i made the flowers by cutting them from the same pink card and inking the edges of the petals to give them dimension, layered two of the same size petals together and used these sparkly yellow pompoms I bought in the pound shope as the center of the flowers to make them look like the flower in the image. I then added the pink bow and added a yellow button and pink button layered up with some yellow twine to tie them together. I 3D decoupaged the image to bring it to life and added the happy birthday tag.
I hope you like it and it will inspire you all to have a go and maybe enter the challenge over at http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ which is to use buttons, bows or both and you will be in with a chance to win a £10 voucher from this months sponsor http://www.scribbleandscrap.co.uk/index.html

Happy crafting everyone
