Well hello again my crafty friends,I am back again after a couple of weeks break from crafting due to a nasty flare up of my M.E,but I am feeling much more human again I am glad to say. I have spent the last two days in my craft room making this months card for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/halfway reminder for our challenge, anything goes/make it fruity.
I must say it was so nice to get back to doing what I love,I hate it when I am not up to crafting. I really enjoyed making this card to as it was two 1st's for me 1) my 1st ever rocker card and I am not even sure I did it the proper way but I did it my way," I feel a song coming on lol". and 2) It was my 1st time trying a bit of water colouring.
I started with cutting a large circle out of some grand circle die's I have and folding it in half,then I had a half circle set from cheery Lyn that I bought and thought I would never use but thought they would make a nice cutout on the bottom of the card so I cut them out of some green card a layered it over the top of the base white card. Then I used the same die to cut the outer circle in pink for the topper and layered that with a slightly smaller circle in green glitter card and then in water colour card. Then I painted the background scene to go with the image and layered on the image by decoupaging it. for the seeds in the water melon I used liquid pearls in black and the other seeds I had to cut out one by one and add them to the finish picture,but I think it was worth the effort as it bought the scene to life. I hope you like it and maybe you will try something you haven't done before to. Happy crafting :)

Hello my friends,I hope it has not turned to cold for you all,it is a bit chilly here in Norfolk but then we get it off the North sea. I hope you are all well and finding time to do some crafting,although those of you with children may have found it difficult over the summer holidays. Hopefully you will be able to grab some you time now that they have gone back to school now though and can find time to create in whatever way you do.
 It has been a busy few weeks for me with my Crafter's Companion design team makes and going up to Durham to celebrate with all at CC for the 10th birthday celebrations. It isn't their birthday until October but with everyone at CC having some busy times ahead we got the celebrations done while there was some time for it. I have to say that Sara Davies  is a truly inspirational Lady and brings out my crafting enthusiasm big time. I have so much enjoyed working on the Die'sire team and love these dies. The future from the peak I have had will have these die's and embossing folders rising to another level to,so watch this space. I certainly hope to have a long association with these products and I am sure that if and when you try them you will also look forward to each and every launch.
I make no apologies for my love of these products and I must say I am not one to be easily impressed and consider myself a very choosy crafter.
All that said,here are my DT samples which will launch in the 4 day deal on Monday with Leann  on Create and craft tv at 8am,1pm and 5pm and if they don't sell out in the 1st day again they will be on with Fiona on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Good morning everyone,I hope you are all well and enjoying your crafting. I thought I would share with you some design Team cards I have made with the new 5x7" texture embossing  folders from http://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/. They are great if you like to make smaller cards or only have a smaller size machine. I must say I don't normally make smaller cards,always 8x8 but I really enjoyed working with them. You don't have to over complicate the embellishments because the embossing is so nice that you don't want to cover it up to much. They are very good with co-ordinations cardstock to as it adds another dimension when you sand the embossing down to reveal another colour and I have since had a go at using them on darker card and guilding them. I am definitely going to be making a lot more smaller cards from now on,especially at Christmas when I need to make so many.

Hi everyone,what a beautiful morning,the sun is shinning and I am super excited to show you my first batch of design team cards for the super new Christmas Classiques dies from Crafter's Companion which are featuring as the new weekender deal on Create and Craft all weekend. 
I can't put into words just how proud it makes me to see my cards shown on create and craft and the rest of the design team make were stunning. If you missed the shows then they are definitely worth seeing on catch up.  
There are to many cards to go into how I made each one individually so I will put pic's up and products used but if you have any questions about individual cards and how they were made then please feel free to ask. Good morning everyone,I hope all this sunny weather is keeping you all happy,I must admit to not coping with the heat but I must not complain,I am happy in front of the fan doing what I love..... CRAFTING 
First of all I have some great and exciting news to share with you all. I have joined the Crafters Companion Die-sire design team. You can imagine how excited I was when I got the email,and nervous at the same time lol. So you can expect to see lots of creations using the crafters companion products on here from now on. I really need to get my craftroom organised though but have hit the ground running at the moment with my first assignment so it will have to wait until I have got my samples ready for that but it is now a urgent task. 

So back to the task in hand for now and my latest make, my DT card for http://gruffiesandguests.blogspot.co.uk/ The theme this month is Anything goes/Lazy days and our sponsor this month is  who are giving the winner 7 digi's

I hope you will all join in and have some fun with these beautiful images,every one makes a beautiful card,they are fail safe I think.
I had so many images that I fell in love with but in the end had to make a decision so I went with this adorable image of the mice and bunny relaxing. 
As always I took my colour inspiration from the image and looking at it I decided that it would look good on a circle easel card so it looked like it was on a plate. I used a grand circles die to cut out the card and another circle for the face of it in this lovely purple glitter card and layered it up with some pale green card to give me a base then I added the base picture in a smaller circle which I printed from the House Mouse triple CD. I decoupaged the image using 7 images as I do love to bring these little critters to life as much as possible. Then I used my Xcut alpahabet dies to cut out the z's and the relax from both purple and green card and layered them up to give a shadow effect. I am sorry but I can't remember the name of this die I used to cut the lattuce out but it is a Sue Wilson one. I cut it out of the green bottom circle and put it on top of the purple and added some liquid pearls to give it dimension. Then I used a purple stamped happy birthday and edged it with the purple glitter card. Then I found this beautiful green ribbon from the many boxes I have collected over the years and also this lovely striped button for the centre and used the bow as my stopper. I was very pleased with the finished card and it has become my latest favourite LOL, I hope you all like it to and it inspires you to get crafting.
